Brankica M. Popovi\u0107, PhD, is born in Pristina, Serbia. She received a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Pristina, Serbia, in 1990. with honors as the best student of the generation. She obtained an M.Sc. degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, in 1997, and a Ph.D. degree at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis, in 2011.<\/p>\n
She is with the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies (UCIPS), Belgrade, Republic of Serbia since 1995. She was the Chair of the Faculty of Computer\u00a0 Science and Information Technology at the UCIPS (2022-2025).<\/p>\n
With a professional career spanning over 30 years in academia, she has extensive experience in developing and application of information systems and technologies for policing (including biometric systems utilization) and research in the area of cybercrime and information (cyber) security. She is the author of over 100 research articles published in reputed international conferences and journals.<\/p>\n
She participated in scientific research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Serbia, as well as research and development project funded by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia or the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies. She is a member of IEEE.<\/p>\n
