Fumiaki Kubo is the President of the National Defense Academy in Japan. Received a doctorate in law from the University of Tokyo.
He was a professor of Graduate Schools for Law and Politics at the University of Tokyo, a professor at Keio University, and a Fulbright scholar at Georgetown University and the University of Maryland. He was an invited professor at Sciences Po, Paris, in 2009. In 2014 a Japan scholar in the Asia Program of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Areas of Expertise: US political and diplomatic history, modern American parties, policy making, US foreign policy.
