Once again, the Ludovika Festival awaits visitors with outstanding military demonstrations from May 09 to 11, featuring one of its defining moments, the 100-day celebration, which marks the final stage before the ceremonial commissioning on August 20. Tanks and numerous exciting programs await both children and adults alike!
In addition to the law enforcement programs on Family Day, static and dynamic military demonstrations will enrich the three-day festival. The audience can encounter real curiosities as they can see up close the Gidrán multipurpose armored vehicle or the PZH-2000 self-propelled howitzer at the Ludovika Campus. Visitors can also get a glimpse into the mysteries of military cyberspace and cyber warfare presented by the Cyber and Information Operations Center of the Hungarian Defense Forces, and they can even meet a bomb disposal robot. On May 11, attendees can witness an extraordinary combat and physical education demonstration. The following units will present their military equipment demonstrations: the 1st Armored Brigade of the Hungarian Defence Forces with the PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer and the Gidrán armored fighting vehicle; the 1st Special Forces Battalion “vitéz Bertalan Árpád” with HMMWV and Polaris MRZR-4 vehicles; and the Budapest Garrison Brigade “vitéz Szurmay Sándor” with the BTR-80. The 1st Explosive Ordnance Disposal and River Guard Regiment will hold a bomb disposal demonstration, while the Military Administration and Central Registry Command welcomes visitors at the recruitment booth. Additionally, participants can try out VR simulators, laser gun shooting, and interactive programs provided by the Sports Company of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
