Csaba Gondola obtained his law degree from the University of Debrecen in 2016, following legal studies at the University of Vienna and KU Leuven. He completed legal internships at Nagy & Trócsányi Law Firm and the U.S.-based Robison, Curphey & O’Connell LLC, and later worked as a junior corporate lawyer at the European Legal Department of National Instruments Hungary. He is currently obtaining his PhD studies in law.
In 2018, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as a U.S. bilateral desk officer, and later served as head of secretariat at the Prime Minister’s Office. From 2019 to 2022, he was Deputy Chief of Cabinet at the Ministry of Justice. He continued his career as chief adviser to the Minister for Technology and Industry and, following the reorganisation of the Ministry, to the Minister of Energy. In 2023, he became Managing Director of the Institute for Energy Strategy, and since March 2025, he has been serving as State Secretary for Circular Economy and Climate Policy at the Ministry of Energy. In recent years, he has gained extensive experience in the fields of energy and climate policy, strategic planning, and policy coordination at both EU and global levels.
