Colonel Gábor Pozderka plays a key role in the development and management of the Hungarian Defence Forces' cyber defence capabilities. He is currently the Chief of the Cyber and Information Operations Directorate at the General Staff. Previously, he served as Deputy Commander and later Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces Cyber Operations Command (MH KIBP). Before the establishment of MH KIBP, he held various senior positions, including Head of the Cyber Defence Office at the HDF Force Development Inspectorate and leadership roles within the Signal, IT, and Information Security Directorate of the General Staff. During his service, he was involved in managing cryptographic operations within NATO SHAPE NCSA and contributed to mission training tasks for KFOR and EUFOR operations.
He completed his higher education at the Miklós Zrínyi National Defence University, earning a degree in military leadership in 2013. His professional training includes the "Cyber Defence at Operational Level Course" at the CCD COE in Tallinn, and the prestigious "International Program on Cyber Security Studies" at the Marshall Center in 2021. He completed the 144th session of the NATO Staff Course in 2024.
