Lieutenant Colonel Dr. András Tóth is Head of the Department of Infocommunications and Information Security and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training of the Ludovika University of Public Service. He also serves as Director of the Puskás Tivadar Advanced College. His research and teaching activities focus on military infocommunications, cybersecurity, and information security, supported by extensive national and international teaching experience, as well as professional training and exercises at NATO and EU level (e.g. Locked Shields, Cyber Coalition).
He began his academic career at the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University, where he obtained degrees in defence management engineering and communication systems organization. He earned his PhD in 2015 and his habilitation in military sciences in 2023.
Throughout his career, he has gained extensive international and operational experience, including participation in missions in Afghanistan and Iraq. His teaching and research activities are internationally recognized, as evidenced by numerous Erasmus+ mobility engagements, as well as prestigious scientific scholarships and professional awards, including the János Bolyai Research Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Master Teacher Gold Medal of the National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference (OTDK).
He actively participates in the work of national and international scientific organizations, contributing to the advancement of research in infocommunications and information security.
