He obtained his degree in History in 1995 from the Faculty of Humanities at Kossuth Lajos University (Debrecen) and earned his PhD in History at the same institution in 2001. In 2002, he obtained a specialized qualification in international freight forwarding and logistics at the College of Foreign Trade of the Budapest Business School. In 2012, he completed the Program in Advanced Security Studies at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Since 2001, he has been a faculty member of the Ludovika University of Public Service (previously its predecessor, the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University). Between 2015 and 2021, he served as Head of Department and Associate Professor at the Military National Security Department of the Institute of National Security, Ludovika University of Public Service. Since 2021, he has been Associate Professor at the Department of International Security Studies, Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training, LUPS.
His research focuses on the theory and practice of naval warfare, global security challenges, and modern (asymmetric) conflicts. In relation to these fields, he has had nearly one thousand media appearances over the past two decades.
