Chartered agricultural engineer and environmental engineer. He is the former dean of the Faculty of Water Sciences, currently an associate professor and Head of the Laboratory of Flood Research. His areas of expertise are plain and hillslope water management, irrigation, water quality control, floodplain management, integrated water management and remote sensing. His work has contributed to the assessment of the Kolontar red mud disaster, the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and the design of the Balaton water quality monitoring system and has supported the work of the UN World Space Commission.
