He began his professional military service in 1986 at the 44th Tank Regiment in Abasár (MN 2520). From 1995, he served as an instructor at the Land Combined Arms Operations and Tactics Department of the Zrínyi Miklós Military Academy for nearly two years. In 1998, he completed the Joint Staff Course at the Collège Interarmées de Défense in Paris and then continued his career at the General Staff Secretariat of the Hungarian Defence Forces. From 2012 to 2014, he was the Commandant of the National Defence Force’s Petty Officer Academy in Szentendre, and from 2014 to 2018, he served as the Commander of the George Klapka 25th Rifle Brigade in Tata. He gained extensive international experience, serving as the head of the Permanent Liaison Office of the NATO Allied Forces Supreme Command in Europe and as Chief of Staff of the EUFOR Command in Sarajevo. In addition to numerous decorations, service medals, and merits, he received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary in 2015. He currently serves as the Deputy Director and Chief of Staff of the European Union Military Staff.
