Dr Navracsics Tibor earned his degree from the Faculty of Law at Eötvös Loránd University in 1990 and obtained his PhD in political science from the same university in 1999. From 2006 to 2014, he was a member of parliament and leader of the Fidesz parliamentary group. Between 2010 and 2014, he was Minister of Public Administration and Justice and Deputy Prime Minister. In 2014, he served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and from 2014 to 2019, he worked as European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth, and Sport. He was the director of the Europe Strategy Research Institute at the LUPS until June 2022 and served as the government commissioner for Veszprém-Balaton 2023, the European Capital of Culture program. He is an honorary professor at LUPS, an Honorary Citizen of the University, and a lecturer at the Institute of Political Science at the Faculty of Law at Eötvös Loránd University. Since May 2022, he has been Minister of Regional Development and, since January 2024, Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development.
