From 11 to 13 May, the Ludovika Festival will present an unprecedented display of the Hungarian Defence Forces, with the 100-day celebration as one of the highlights, the last step before the ceremonial military service on 20 August. Fighter jets, helicopters, tanks and many fun activities for young and old alike!
In addition to the law enforcement activities of Family Day, static and dynamic military demonstrations will also be part of the three-day festival. The Ludovika Campus will also be the venue for some real curiosities, including the Leopard 2A4 armoured fighting vehicle, the Gidrán multipurpose armoured vehicle, the KF41 Lynx infantry fighting vehicle and the PZH-2000 self-propelled gun. In addition, the Hungarian Defence Forces (MH) JAS-39 Gripen fighters and H145M and Mi-24 helicopters will also be in the airspace. In addition to the chemical defence demonstrations, visitors will also be able to see special weapons, as well as gain an insight into military cyberspace and cyber warfare through the Hungarian Defence Forces Cyber and Information Operations Centre. On 13 May, the audience will be impressed by the unusual weapons shown by the Special Parade Battalion of the 32nd National Defence Regiment of the Budapest Garrison of the MH Sándor Szurmay Military Guard of the Hungarian National Defence Forces, and there will also be a dog and combat demonstration with spectacular elements.
