He began his career at one of the Big4 consulting firms, then worked for years at a French commercial bank. In the 2000s, he held marketing, sales, executive, and CEO positions in telecommunications-internet. From 2011, he served as Vice President of Hungary's largest and oldest conservative think tank. Before being appointed Minister of Defense, he invested in railway and aviation companies. In 2016, he was appointed Hungary's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, where he served in London until 2020. In May 2022, he was appointed Minister of Defense of the fifth Orbán government.
