Dr. Orsolya Pacsay-Tomassich holds a degree in economics from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and earned her PhD in military science from the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University. Between 1997 and 2013, she held various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2013 to 2016, she served as Director of Foreign Affairs at the Századvég Foundation and as Director of Foreign Relations at the Századvég Economic Research Institute. Between 2016 and 2017, she was Deputy State Secretary for International and EU Affairs, and from 2018 to 2019, she served as State Secretary for International Affairs and Chief of Cabinet at the Ministry of Human Resources. She then became State Secretary responsible for the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy and the Stipendium Hungaricum Program at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She currently serves as President of the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy. She speaks fluent English, French, and German and has intermediate proficiency in Italian. Since 2016, she has been a member of the editorial board of Hungarian Review.
