The Finance Guard Band

The Finance Guard Band is a nationally known and popular professional brass band. The band's chief conductor is Ferenc Kapi-Horváth, with Alex Nyers as conductor.

They perform at Hungary's national and state holidays, official events of the National Tax and Customs Administration, inaugurations of customs offices and border crossings, concerts, receptions. The full band performs at festive, charity concerts, radio and television broadcasts, street music performances, musical parades, and festivals, but the chamber ensemble, big band formation, and dance music ensemble also have great success with their high-quality performances. The band performs an average of a hundred times a year.

Their repertoire is diverse, ranging from traditional brass band marches to modern brass music. They play adaptations of opera, operetta, and musical pieces, classical and contemporary brass works, as well as popular music. Their performances are preserved in numerous radio, television, film, and CD recordings, and a book has been published about the band's history.

Their spectacular show, which combines formations formed by the band with musical performances, always receives great acclaim. With their performances, they have earned significant recognition not only in neighboring Austria and Croatia but also in Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Israel, and England.

The programme is free to attend but registration is required.
