The Financial Guard is a nationally known and loved professional brass band. Ferenc Kapi-Horváth is the chief conductor, and Alex Nyers is the conductor.

They perform at national and state festivals of Hungary, at official events of the National Tax and Customs Administration, at the inauguration of customs offices, border crossings, concerts and receptions. The full orchestra performs at festive and charity concerts, radio and television broadcasts, square music, musical parades and festivals. However, the chamber ensemble, the big band formation and the small dance music ensemble also enjoy great success with their high-quality performances. The orchestra performs an average of 100 concerts a year.

Its repertoire is varied, ranging from traditional wind instruments to modern wind music. They play operas, operettas, musicals, classical and contemporary wind and popular music. Their performances have been recorded on radio, television, film and CD, and a book has been published on the orchestra’s history.

Their spectacular lawn show programme (a show with the orchestra performing the figures) is always a great success. Their performances have won them considerable acclaim in Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Israel, England and Switzerland, in addition to neighbouring Austria and Croatia.
