A descendant of Mihály Vörösmarty, he is one of the world's foremost experts on hydrology and conducts research on sustainability and water security. He is a professor at the City University of New York and holds a PhD from the University of New Hampshire. He is a member of several initiatives, including the Sustainable Water Future Planning Committee and the NASA Earth Science Subcommittee. He has been instrumental in promoting the relationship between the University of New Hampshire and BME. He has research projects with these two universities and the National Weather Service, for which he has secured major multinational companies as sponsors. In spring, he will be awarded an honorary doctorate from our University.
