Dr. László Teknős is an adjunct professor at the Institute of Disaster Management of the Faculty of Law Enforcement of the University of Public Service and a fire captain of the professional disaster management organisation. He is currently a student at the Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies of the University of Public Service. He has participated in several national projects as a researcher and has won various awards and prizes in several national competitions and professional contests. His research interests include disaster management, environmental security and social aspects of climate change; the dilemmas of sustainable development; current issues of environmental policy in the European Union; analysis and assessment of the probability of occurrence and adverse impacts of natural disasters; water diplomacy; theory and practice of disaster science.
