He started his career at a Big4 consulting firm and worked for years at a French commercial bank. In the 2000s, he held marketing, sales, managing director and CEO positions in the telecoms-internet sector for several years. Since 2011, he has been deputy president of Hungary's largest and oldest conservative research institute. He invested in rail and aerospace companies until his appointment as Minister of Defence. In 2016, he was appointed Ambassador of Hungary to the United Kingdom, where he served in London until 2020.
