Máté Litkei, Director of the MCC Climate Policy Institute, graduated as an environmental agricultural engineer from the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences in Gödöllő (former Szent István University). As a managing director of an agri-food company, he worked for several years in the production and marketing of pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food ingredients. He continued his career as a policy analyst, with a particular focus on European and domestic climate policy. He joined the Institute for Climate Policy as a researcher, later becoming a research manager and then Director of the Institute.
