Levente Magyar earned his degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Corvinus University of Budapest. Between 2007 and 2008, he completed his professional internship at the Foreign Affairs Cabinet of Fidesz, where he continued working until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he served as Head of the Cross-Border Infrastructure Development Department at the Ministry for National Economy. He later became Deputy Head of the Prime Minister’s International Directorate at the Prime Minister’s Office. Between July 2012 and June 2014, he held the position of Deputy State Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office. From July to September 2014, he served as Deputy State Secretary for Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and from October 2014 until August 2017, he was promoted to State Secretary for the same field. He currently serves as Parliamentary State Secretary and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as Ministerial Commissioner for Francophone Affairs. He speaks fluent English and French and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish and German.
