Dr. László Brenzovics was born on April 25, 1964, in Zápszony. He completed his primary education in his native village and his secondary education in Mezőkaszony. In 1981, he was admitted to Uzhhorod State University, where he studied history and graduated in 1986. After that, he worked as a teacher in his home village.
He holds a degree of Candidate of Sciences degree in history. In 2003, he received a PhD degree at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. He is the author of numerous historical writings and books.
In 1990, he was elected as a representative of the Berehove District Council. From 1992, he served as the cultural secretary of the Hungarian Cultural Association of Transcarpathia (KMKSZ) and worked as a dramaturg at the Illyés Gyula Hungarian National Theatre in Berehove (Beregszász). Since 1996, he has been Vice President of the KMKSZ. From 1997, he has been a lecturer at the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education.
Since 1998, he has been a member of the Transcarpathian Regional Council. Between 2006 and 2010, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council. From 2010 to 2014, he was the Chairman of the Council’s Budget Committee. From 2014, he again served as Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council, and later that same year he was elected as a Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Since 2014, he has been the President of the Transcarpathian Hungarian Cultural Association. From 2020, he has been a member of the Transcarpathian Regional Council.
