Dr Tamás Csiki Varga graduated in security and defence policy in 2009 from the Ludovika University of Public Service (LUPS) and its predecessor institution, the former Zrínyi Miklós National Defense University. He continued his studies at the Central European University and then earned his PhD at the Doctoral School of Military Sciences at LUPS. He is a senior research fellow at the John Lukacs Institute of LUPS. His teaching and research areas include the defence policy of European states, particularly Germany and Hungary, NATO, and the security and defence policy aspects of minority conflicts. Since 2018, he has been the editor of the journal "Defense and Security Analysis."
