Dr Zoltán Hautzinger graduated from the Police College in 1996 with a degree in border policing. He obtained his PhD from the Doctoral School of Law and Political Sciences at the University of Pécs in 2010, and he was habilitated at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Law Enforcement at the Ludovika University of Public Service in 2016. Alongside his academic teaching activities at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Pécs since 2001, until September 2012, he gained over ten years of professional leadership experience in data protection, administrative management, and, in the field of alien policing within various territorial units of the Border Guard and later the police. He has over two decades of experience in teaching and research in higher education, and he has been serving in managerial positions in higher education since September 2012. Currently, he is the head of the Department of Immigration Studies at the Faculty of Law Enforcement at the Ludovika University of Public Service, and he has been the Vice-Dean for Education of the faculty since 2015. He is a member of several scientific societies and serves as the editor-in-chief of the Military Law and Military Science Review (Katonai Jogi és Hadi Jogi Szemle).
