He graduated from the Kossuth Lajos Military College in 1986, then obtained a diploma from the Janus Pannonius University in 1998. In 2006, he completed the NATO Defence College in Rome. He began his career as a trainer at the Officer Training Center in Kalocsa, then served as a company commander at the Kossuth Lajos Military College in Szentendre, instructor at the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University, D1-4 chief at UNFICYP Headquarters in Cyprus, and at the Peace Support Training Centre in Sarajevo.
He served as deputy commander at the Joint Force Command in Budapest, then as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Joint Force Command in Székesfehérvár, and as Director-General at the Military Security Office. From 2011 to 2013, he was the commander of the Joint Force Command in Székesfehérvár, and from 2013 to 2017, he served as Hungary's NATO and EU military representative in Brussels. From 2019 to 2021, he was the national security advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Since 2021, he has been serving as the EU integration advisor to the Kosovar government in Pristina.
