Balázs Szabó mastered several instruments from a young age, including the guitar, violin, koboz (a traditional lute-like instrument), kaval (shepherd’s flute), recorder, and piano. For over 20 years, he has enchanted audiences on stage. In 2009, he founded his band, Szabó Balázs Bandája. At the 2016 Petőfi Music Awards, he was honoured with the title Male Performer of the Year. His songs fuse traditional Hungarian folk music with various contemporary popular music styles.
